How Do I join the Wakefield Concert Band?
Anyone who has an instrument and who is willing to rehearse every Monday night is welcome to join us. Use this link to contact Barry Lieberman, our Director. In your email include your name, telephone number, the instrument you play, and the number of years since you last played in a group. Where does the Wakefield Concert Band perform?
The band is actively involved in 15 to 20 performances each year. We play a Summer Concert Series at Marina Park in South Kingstown, RI. We also play at town fairs, Memorial Day activities, and other celebrations. We also perform for fund raisers for church and community groups.
How can I support the Band?
Please come to enjoy our music. We publish our Concert Schedule here. Several area newspapers, including South Kingstown Patch also publish our press releases, report on our performances, and include us in their events calendars.
The Wakefield Concert Band is committed to carrying on its nearly 150 year legacy of providing quality music to our community.
